The world is shrinking! Many people in the United States already speak a
second language and increasing contact among the countries of the world
make a second language a necessity. It is particularly valuable in
combination with other career skills.

Course Descriptions

French 1 - Students will focus on listening and speaking skills with simple
reading and writing activities. Students will be introduced to the French
culture and customs from countries around the world. For grades 9-12. No
prerequisite.

French 2 - Students in this level will establish communication skills in the
present, past and immediate future. Students will read longer passages
and produce longer writing samples. Students will learn vocabulary for
social interaction. A research paper/project is required each semester.
For grades 9-12. Student must complete French 1 before taking French 2.

French 3 - Students in this level will establish communication skills in the
present, past and immediate future. Students will read longer passages
and produce longer writing samples. Students will learn vocabulary for
social interaction. A research paper/project is required each semester.
